As per global needs, Lyallpur Khalsa College has devised a strategy to make research work, placements and consultancy as the focus of educational growth and development. The college promotes research culture among members of faculty by giving incentives to them. Significant research as been done in the fields of Computer Science & IT, Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, Physiotherapy, Geography, Punjabi and social sciences.
Many teachers are working on different minor research projects approved by U.G.C. The College runs four research centers.

Consultancy helps in bridging the gap between industry and educational institutions. This helps in transferring technology from academics to the practical field. To begin with, we developed our own software for bringing automation in the institution and moving towards e-governance
